sleepover MAGIC

I had a double sleepover with one of my best friends Emma.First we brought Emma to my house. Then we watched movies, played hide and go seek and had TONS of fun. In the morning Emma and I got up early and made the entire family more than enough yummy, tasty, great chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Then we played all day long. At about 5 o'clock Emma's mom came and I ended up going too! They took me to church and we watched the movie "Another Cinderella Story" and "Dear Lemon Lima.(p.s we had subway after church) In the morning we watched some TV and ate bagels and drank hot chocolate. Then they took me home. And that was the BEST SLEEPOVER EVER!!!

BUILD A FIRST AID KIT

Today I made a first aid kit to earn my Brownie first aid badge.

Here is what dad and I put in our camping kit:
  • Wilderness medicine book so that you can learn how to do first aid in the woods
  • Rubber gloves and face mask to protect yourself
  • I grabbed daddy's blood pressure cuff and stethoscope because it's cool and the bag is purple.  Pen lights are cool too.
  • Scissors to cut clothing if we need to see the owwwwy.  Tweezers to pick stuff if needed.
  • Sponge pads and stingy stuff to clean an owwwwy.
  • Band aids and ointment to go on the owwwwy. We picked big band aids to cover the big ones. 2 eye pads for owwwwys in the eye.   Small roll of tape.  Daddy put in a pack of Steri-strips and a Tegaderm dressing in case we might need stitches until we get to the doctor's office.
  • Sam splint (they come in pink) for broken arms and legs.  Gauze to wrap up the splint.
  • Burnaid (small and large gel pack) to treat marshmallow injuries around the campfire.
  • 2 lemon ceralyte packs in case of dehydration.
  • 1 emergency blanket in case we get lost on the way back to the car.
  • 1 pack of pocket duct tape. Duct tape is good for everything according to dad.
If you have any ideas on other items for a first aid kit, please let me know!
